MY EVERYDAY SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE

This spirulina smoothie is my go to breakfast most days! Gives me an amazing boost of energy and fuel for the day. Spirulina is a superfood and is one of the few plant-based sources of complete protein(contains all essential amino acids our bodies need). It’s also a good source of calcium, iron, magnesium, and vitamins A, E, and K. It makes me feel amazing!

INGREDIENTS: (enough for one serving, double if making for you and someone else)

  • 1 cup of coconut water

  • splash of organic apple juice

  • 1/2 a frozen banana

  • 1 cup of spinach (sometimes I add kale also if I have it )

  • 1/2 cup of blueberries/pineapple

  • dash of cinnamon

  • 1 Tbsp of spirulina powder


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place all ingredients in the blender until completely blended and green

  2. Enjoy!
